Hello there!I’m Dax, a Non-Binary Spanglish Storyboarder and 2D Animator.I started down this path because of my love for drawing and stayed for my passion for storytelling.I am obsessed with fantasy and enjoy doodling (shocking I know!) both of which I talk about more often than not.Above all I love art!

PIPSQUEAK

This was the movie I made as my final major project for university.It took me several months to make and I had wrote the script, storyboarded, designed the characters and backgrounds, and finally animated it all by myself.I brought in help for the music and sound but also had my own fair share of listening to bird sounds for a couple of hours haha!My labor payed off! as not only was it in 6 festivals but it earned me the Ken Browning Animation and Interactive Media Award at my University.

KEEP IT FILTHY BUT CUTE

One of the first projects I worked on with Aniboxx.I had started out doing background design and later moved on to animation.All the backgrounds seen in this animated short where done by me.

CHERISSE STORY

For this project I was mainly on Clean and Colour with a bit of backgrounds mixed in as and when needed.My favourite part of working on this one though was making the plethora of background/extra characters when Cherisse the protagonist was a kid.

JOYFUL JERK & JOLLOF

On this project was the second one I was assigned to and during this time I worked solely on Clean and Colour but I did have a couple of shots where I animated the roughs for, I had a lot of fun working through the more dynamic and interesting shots.There where also a lot of shots where I was working on lipsync and those where indeed fun!

BOWLING BRETHREN

This project was one I had the least amount of involvement in during my time at Aniboxx.With that being said, I still did some Clean and Colour and some permanent and temporary Stills or still shots for short along with very minor rough animation.

PIPSQUEAK

Because it was a very involved project I want to take the opportunity to share some of the pre-production work that went into the making of Pipsqueak, as I do plan on eventually expanding Pip's story to at least have a part 2 in the future.Bellow you can see the very first sketches I made of him, I think his personality and style didn't change too much in the end tho it did go through a couple itterations.
I actually ended up re-doing the drawing of him in the tree for the credits, a sneaky little nod to his original sketch.
